Ordered take out and went through the pick up window. I called in my order and repeated it twice but it was not exactly what I ordered. I ordered a pizza with sausage, pepper, and onion. They forgot the sausage. It still tasted good but would have been better with sausage. I hope they have online ordering for my next order.

I've lived in Springfield for 20 years and only found out about Bernie & Betty's a couple of years back. Fantastic establishment. When you pull up it looks like a past time neighborhood supper club. And it was packed! Our server was a hard worker and knew how to hustle without losing her friendliness. Definitely tipped her well! The pizza was wonderful. Perfect amount of sauce and they don't skimp on the cheese. Wonderful thin crust too. This is now our go to and I will be taking visiting friends and family.

Such nice people! I almost didn't want to review. This may all be intended, but the sausage was flat and dull despite having a wonderful texture. The crust was not fully baked despite having tell tell signs of a good oven- those bits of residue that demonstrate thorough baking. The sauce had a wonderful consistency but like the sausage it was flat. And despite seeming to come right out of the oven, the darn thing was cold within three minutes or so. This seemed like just the kind of place I would like and really a dine in experience might be so much better, because the whole place reeked of charm.

Had been planning to eat here for a while, and now I wish I hadn't waited so long. Ordered Cheese Sticks and Garlic Cheese Bread as appetizers and they came out looking like perfection. I couldn't even snap a photo, as they were devoured before the thought came. The marinara for the GCB was what you'd imagine the guys in the movie Goodfellas to drool over. I ordered a hamburger horseshoe as my main course. The burgers under the cheese and fries was cooked to perfection and even had a charred crust which was perfect. The straight fries were absolutely delicious and the cheese sauce was better than most that I have tried. The cheese was a beer cheese but you couldn't taste the beer, and there was a slight heat/spicy which was amazing. This was my first visit but it definitely will not be my last. Next time, due to the superb quality of the sauce, I am going to have to try the sourdough pizza.

I was there for a quick lunch. The waitress helped me to expedite my departure. I had the thin crust pizza which was very good. The table was not as clean as one might hope. Granted, I did show up at lunch time. I will be back.
